The last rites of Aksharayodha.Anitara Sadhyadu Ramoji Raoji Rao,the head of the Ramoji group of companies,were held at Smritivanam in Filmcity on Sunday.

Ramoji Rao’s last rites were carried by his son Kiran,who performed the last rites amid thousands of mourners.

Final tributes to Ramoji Rao at Smritivanam in Filmcity

With wet eyes with heavy hearts with sorrowful hearts, the people bid a tearful farewell to the great man.The last rites of Aksharayodha.Anitara Sadhyadu Ramoji Raoji Rao,the head of the Ramoji group of companies, were held at Smritivanam in Filmcity on Sunday.

Akshara Suridu,who broke new ground in Telugu journalism for five decades.Athiratha Maharathas, relatives,friends,film celebrities,fans and employees of Ramoji Group came to pay their respects to Ramoji Rao.

Ramoji Rao’s last rites were conducted by his son Kiran, the managing director of ‘Eenadu’,after a 4-kilometer funeral procession with the slogans of Ramoji Rao Amar Rahe,Johar Ramoji Rao,etc.

started after salutation by the police. His body was moved in a vehicle decorated with flowers.From Ramoji Rao’s residence,the funeral procession passed through the offices of ETV Bharat,ETV,Eenadu and Priya Foods amid the tears of fans, politicians,celebrities,family members and employees.

‘Johar Ramoji Rao’ slogans all along the way :

The staff and fans of the Ramoji group of companies used to say ‘Johar Ramoji Rao’ on the way.At every step of the journey from his residence to Smritivanam,which is about four kilometers away,his fans and employees were moved to tears.

They were emotional saying goodbye to their favorite chairman.They showed their admiration by running after the vehicle all the way.

Retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court,Justice N.V.Ramana,got into the final yatra vehicle in the middle of the route and participated in the last yatra.People gathered in huge numbers to see Ramoji Rao every time.

Attendance of dignitaries at the funeral :

On Sunday morning,many celebrities gathered at the memorial and paid their respects.BJP MPs Kishan Reddy,Bandi Sanjay,Bharata MPs KR Suresh Reddy, Vaviraju Ravichandra and Deevakonda Damodar Rao were present.

Rajasthan Patrika Chief Editor Gulab Kothari and Managing Director Siddharth Kothari Ramoji Rao participated in the funeral and paid tributes.

AP Public Service Commission Chairman Gautham Sawang,AP former IPS AB Venkateswara Rao,AP CCLA Secretary Siddhartha Jain,Road Safety Authority Chairman Anjana Sinha paid tributes.

India and Telugu media have lost a great visionary with the death of Ramoji Rao,head of Ramoji group of companies.His inspiring journey and his services left an indelible impression on our minds.

President of Sarvodaya Trust (Vijayawada) GV Mohan Prasad said that Ramoji Rao,the head of Ramoji group of companies, has touched the lives of crores of Telugus all over the world through his principles of living.

He said that the loss without Ramoji Rao is irreparable and his memory will last for generations.Trust president Mohan Prasad,members Matta Jayakar, doctors from UK Nagesh Chennupati and others paid tribute to Ramoji Rao at Ramoji Film City on Sunday.

ICAR Retired Employees Association (IREA) said in a statement that Ramoji Rao’s vision and dedication was an inspiration to many.

Leaders of APJAC Amaravati hailed Ramoji Rao’s death as a loss for the journalism sector and he was a beacon for journalists.

In this regard,JAC Chairman Bopparaju Venkateshwarlu,General Secretary Palishetti Damodarao and others issued a statement on Sunday.

It is stated that he has rendered exemplary services to the society.He was hailed as a great hero who turned failures into successes.

APSVRO Grade-2 Association hailed Ramoji Rao as a guide for future generations.The president of the association, Nimmalapudi Sudhakar Choudhary,issued a statement on Sunday condoling his death.

It is stated that he brought the problems of the remote villages to the attention of the governments through ‘Eenadu’and resolved them.

My heart is filled with pain :

It was Chandrababu Naidu who carried the body of Ramoji Rao:

Telugu Desam Party leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu along with his wife Bhuvaneshwari,son Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani participated in Ramoji’s final yatra.

Chandrababu reached the place when Ramojirao’s body was moved to the memorial.The body was carried from the main gate of Smritivanam to the memorial building.

He was there till the last rites were completed.He was deeply emotional.Ramoji Rao’s mortal remains were paid floral tributes.

Eenadu Digital,Amaravati:Although Ramoji Rao,the head of the Ramoji group of companies,is not physically present,TDEPA chief Chandrababu said that the great man’s spirit will continue to guide us all.

“I participated in the last rites of Akshara Yodhu.I bid farewell to Ramoji Rao, the soulmate of Telugu people. My heart is filled with pain.Chandrababu said,”His glory shines eternally like the rays of the sun.”The video of Ramoji Rao participating in the last rites was posted on X on Sunday.

Funeral with formalities:

Ramoji Rao’s body was cremated with official honors at Smritivanam. Rangareddy District Collector Sashanka and LBnagar DCP Praveen Kumar supervised the funeral arrangements on behalf of the Telangana government.

Ramoji Rao’s body was moved from Filmcity to Smritivana after completion of Shraddhakarmas and police personnel paid their respects.

The police team fired three rounds of guns into the air and performed official ceremonies.
