2024 Parliament Election: A Turning Point for Indian Politics
The 2024 Parliament election will be an eye-opener for all political parties in India.Nobody can underestimate the common man’s willingness to react against social injustice.
Over the past decade,Narendra Modi has become the body and soul of the government, making each and every decision.
Sometimes,he even portrays himself as a goddess-like figure. However, the people of India reject this notion. They need a leader, not a deity.
The BJP’s struggle to achieve their targeted seats can be attributed to one main reason:their leaders are disconnected from the common man.Modi has appointed officers who are controlling the show, and agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are being used as political tools.
Opposition leaders who strongly oppose the BJP often face consequences from these agencies.
A prime example is Tamilnadu BJP Chief Annamalai. Officers cannot be good people’s leaders; they might lead, but not as representatives of the common man. Annamalai attempts to control the Tamil Nadu party as if it were a police station, but politics is different. Generally, common people distrust police officers because of their perceived inhumane behavior.
In Karnataka, another police officer is allegedly aiding Annamalai through various means, including campaign assistance and business connections.
Such involvement can backfire,as the public often views police officers with suspicion.
The Congress party and other opposition groups should keep a distance from these officers to avoid creating future leaders like Annamalai.
Maintaining a connection with the common people is crucial for political success.Preferring business people over common workers is a mistake.
When business people come, the doors are open to them at any time, but workers are blocked with security and restrictive rules.
Leaders should understand that businessmen can’t help secure votes, but workers can.The BJP’s detachment from workers is why they underperform in states like Uttar Pradesh.
In contrast,Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal and Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh stand for workers, who, in turn, give their full support.
India is a democratic country, and Indians never entertain dictatorship.Modi has shown all the flavors of dictatorship.
If any party ignores workers after the election, the workers will be there to defeat them in the next five years.
