‘The Kothanur police are on the lookout for a fortune teller who robbed 4 grams of ear rings from a 25-year-old home maker offering to ward off evil cast on her husband on Sunday.
Senior officer told reporters the accused approached Shakuntala,resident of Janata colony in Doddaguddi and told her that there was a black magic cast on her husband.
Offering to ward of evil he threatened her that if the ritual is not performed she might lose him within 9 days .
Scared Shakuntala agreed for a ritual for which the accused asked her to remove the gold earn rings and put it in the earthen pot along with other material .
He close the lid wrapped it tightly and asked her to remove the pot only after her husband returns from work.
The cheating came to light when the husband returned and he found the gold ear rings were missing .
Based on complaint,the police have registered a case of cheating and are on the lookout for the accused .
