Madanayakanahalli police busted Fake tea manufacturing unit in Bengaluru

The Madanayakanahalli police are on the lookout for the gang of four who are selling fake tea powder to the shops under reputed brands in the outskirts of the city .

The accused identified as Bhumaram,Madhusingh, Vikram Singh from Uttar Pradesh and Shivakumar were operating in the outskirts of the city and packing sub standard tea purchased in bulk and packing with the reputed tea brands.

The accused would sell it to the shop keepers to the cheaper rates than the actual price of the branded tea and running a huge business.

Meanwhile the representatives of the branded companies came to know that their tea brands are being supplied to the shops in the rural market with lower margin rates and probed the matter before filing a complaint.

Based on the complaint the police swung into action and raided the tea making unit and seized the machinery and packing material.

However the accused managed to escape and efforts are on to track down the accused,a police officer, said .
