Peenya police arrested 11 men including Deputy Range Forest Officer recovered stolen valuables worth Rs.45.5 lakhs

T he Peenya police have cracked the case of robbery and arrested a Deputy Range Forest Officer among 11 people who posing as police personnel barged into the house of an industrialist to rob gold valuables and cash on December 4.

Senior officer told reporters,the prime accused,Nagaraj of the case is a former driver in the company of the house owner,Manohar situated in HMT Layout.

The accused noticed the valuables and hatched a plan to rob.He roped in his associates comprising of a Rowdy-Sheeter and others who worked in private firms and recovery agents .

As per the plan,the DRFO wearing uniform knocked the doors of the victim,when Manohar’s son,Roopesh and his mother Sujatha were present.Manohar had gone out.

The victim noticed the man wearing police uniform knocking the door and opened to inquire.Soon the other accused hiding near-by barged into the house.

The accused soon over powered the victim,tied their hands,legs and gagged the mouth and assaulted the victim before robbing gold valuables and cash.The accused had even took away the DVR of the house to avoid being identified.

Based on the complaint,the police team led by Inspector Anil Kumar, and his team gathered the CCTV footage from in and around and track down the accused .

The police have recovered Rs.45.5 lakh including 273 grams of gold valuables and cash Rs.23.3 lakh from them.

The police are also on the lookout for two more accused who are on the run.
