Security guard among five people including two minor boys injured due to fire explosion caused due to cylinder explosion in Begur

B engaluru: A 30-year-old security guard among the five people including two minor boys injured due to fire explosion caused due to LPG cylinder explosion in Garvebhavipalya in Begur on Tuesday morning.

The injured have been identified as Sandesh,critically injured while his wife Nikhila,26,Roshini,14,daughter, Roshan,2.5 years and Rohan 1.5 years also sustained burn injuries and admitted to St Johns hospital .

The family hailed from Nepal and living in a rented house in Lakshmi Layout 7th cross .

Senior officer told reporters,the incident occurred on tuesday Morning when Sandesh got up and switched on the light which ignite fire and cause explosion due to leakage in the cylinder.

The residents woke up to the explosion sound and rushed to the help,Due to the impact the window panes shattered and the family members sleeping were also injured in the fire accident.

The Begur police rushed to the spot and conducted spot inspection.

The Cylinder was intact but explosion caused due to suspected leakage in the house pipe, officer, said .
