Speeding BMTC bus driver knocked Enginnering student to death in Bengaluru

A 21-year-old engineer student was killed and his classmate injured when the motorcycle they were riding was knocked down by speeding BMTC bus on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Gangadhar, resident of Kamalanagar and pursuing engineering.He was heading to HAL to get certificate of internship, which he had completed recently.

The incident occurred when the duo was heading towards HAL on Gareppanapalya near flower market when the Bus knocked them down.

The rider of the bike identified as Likhith lost control and slipped on the right side of the bus,Gangadhar slipped on the left side and crushed under the moving wheels.

Sensing trouble the driver of the BMTC,abandoned the bus and escaped .

The Yeshwanthpur traffic police rushed to the spot and booked the driver for rash and negligent driving and death due to the negligence against him.

He was summoned to the appear before the police for legal procedure.
