Trio among factory worker arrested by RT Nagar police for faking his kidnap to get Rs. 2 lakh ransom from employer

he RT Nagar police cracked a kidnap case and arrested a 26-year-old factory worker who faked his kidnap to extort money from his employer .

Senior officer told reporters,The accused Noorul Hussain,native of West Bengal was working in a factory owned by Mohammed Asif Habib.

Habib used to treat him as a family member and taken good care.However Noorul had some other plan and wanted to rob money.

He hatched a plan to fake his kidnap and roped in two of his associates Abubakar and Ai Raza.The accused on last Friday booked a cab to Mandya and called Habib to inform that Noorul has been kidnapped.

The accused demanded Rs.2 lakh ransom to be transferred to Noorul phone pay account failing which he would be killed.The accused also warned Habib not to complaint to police .

Scared Habib alerted police seeking help to rescue Noorul .

A team of police led by Inspector,Chittaranjan D swung into action and kept a track on the mobile phone.

The accused was switching off the phone within few second of calling to hoodwink the police tracking system.

However the police advised Habib to keep him engaged him in talks without paying the ransom and managed to get his real time location of the phone to the outskirt of Mandya.

The police team with the help of Mandya counterparts rushed to the spot and rescued Noorul and arrested the two others.

After being rescued Noorul was trying to feign ignorance saying he does not know the accused who kidnapped him.

However when police confronted him with the footage of CCTV where the trio was caught moving freely, Noorul confessed to his crime .

The accused had a plan to take the money and return to his native.He has promised to give Rs.50,000 to both of his associates while keeping Rs.1 lakh .

The trio have been booked under kidnap and cheating and remanded to judicial custody for further investigations.
