Union Minister and BJP State President Kishan Reddy said that it is unfortunate that Telangana has not officially celebrated State Liberation Days on September 17.

Hyderabad: Union Minister and BJP State President Kishan Reddy said that it is unfortunate that Telangana State Liberation Days are not celebrated officially. He said that BJP has been fighting for 25 years to organize these festivals officially. He said that neither the then Congress government in power in the state nor the present government of India is interested in organizing these festivals. He said that there is no way for BJP to compromise on this matter.

Kishan Reddy said that “Telangana Liberation Celebrations” were officially organized under the auspices of the Central Government as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” on September 17 last year. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel hoisted the tricolor flag in Telangana 75 years ago. Last year, celebrations were held under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. KCR was demanded to tell why it was not held in these nine years after coming to power. He alleged that the KCR government is not organizing the festivities to satisfy the Majlis party.
