Two FIR Filed Against Kannada Actor Upendra For Using Derogatory Remarks Against Dalits

Kannada Film Star Upendra has been booked by Channammanakere Acchukattu for his racist remark during a live chat on social media .

Even though he realized the blunder and apologized and took down the comments,the police registered an FIR against him following a complaint filed by Assistant Director of Social welfare department,Madhusudhan KN, on Sunday.

According to the complaint,Upendra has made a racist comment used a term during a live Facebok and Instagram live chat hurting the sentiments of Dalit community .

Mr.Upendra soon apologized for his remark for hurting the sentiments and remove the contents.However Dalit community members,Gopal Giriyappa and Banashankari Vasu filed a complaint with the social welfare department seeking action against Upendra.

Meanwhile a second FIR has been filed against kannada film star Upendra for his racist comment against dalit community during a live chat show on social media .

Byrappa Harish Kumar,state president of Karnataka Ranadhira Pade has filed a complaint with Halasuru gate police amidst high drama on Sunday.

While the police maintained that an FIR has already been filed but Mr. Kumar was adamant and insisted that he needed to file a case against him .

Based on his complaint the police charged Upendra under SC and ST ( prevention of atrocities) act and also under circulating statement to create enmity and hatred,promoting enmity between different groups on the ground of religion or race and deliberate and malicious act to outrage religious feeling against him .

This is the second FIR against Upendra after Madhusudan KN, assistant director of social welfare department has filed a complaint against Upendra with CK Acchukattu police under the SC and ST (atrocities prevention) act.
