Father and Son killed in Hit and Run case at ISRO Circle in Sadashivanagar

A 65-year-old man and father-son duo was killed and another seriously injured after a speeding car ran over them at ISRO road near MS Ramaiah Medical College on Sunday night.

The deceased have been identified as Raghu and his son Chiranjeevi, 25.

Raghu owned a book store in Koramangala and the duo was returning home on scooter after work.Another pedestrian identified as Vasu also sustained serious injuries and being treated at the hospital .

The incident occurred at around 12 pm.The driver of the car said to be in an inebriated state driving in rash and negligent manner rammed into the autorickshaw parked on roadside and in order to avoid two more parked cars he run over the scooter and the pedestrian passing by.

There were three people in the car at the time of the accident and two managed to flee from the spot.A case has been registered at Sadashivanagar Traffic Police Station.

People managed to nab one of the occupant of the car identified as Akash and handed him over to the Sadashivanagar traffic police.The accused said to be son of Zilla Panchayath member a senior officer said.
