A 23-year-old motorcycle rider was killed and pillion rider injured when the bike they were riding lost control and crashed into a divider in Kengeri on Wednesday night .
The deceased has been identified as Prithviraj,resident of RR Nagar and working in a private firm and the injured Yogesh KG,23 is being treated at a hospital .
According to the police,the victims are cousins and set out on bike for dinner. Prithviraj was over speeding on the bike and lost control near Jayanna circle in Kengeri and crashed into the divider and sustained severe injuries.
Passers-by rushed the duo to a private hospital where Prithviraj succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning.
The Kengeri traffic police have registered a case against the rider and are investigating.
