wo people including a 40-year-old police constable were killed and five others injured when a speeding car crashed into a SUV which jammed on the middle of the Doddajala flyover due to an accident,and is being inspected by night rounds police in the wee hours of Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Suresh,driver of Devanahalli inspector,vehicle driver and was on night rounds with his senior Dharme Gowda.
Who was inspecting a parked vehicle on the Bangalore International Airport Road at around 2 am .
Senior officer told reporters,the duo was on night rounds found the SUV parked on middle of the flover jammed and unable to move .
The inspector came extreme left and was calling for help,A speeding car moving towards the same directions in a rash and negligent manner crashed into the car.
Theere were around six people in the car and a passenger sitting next to the driver identified as Sharath,22,killed on the spot while others severely injured.Inspector Dharme Gowda standing close by escaped narrowly .
The driver of the of the car suffered multiple fracture and all the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
We suspect that the occupants of the car including three girls working in a Tech company and going on a joy ride when the incident occurred.
The police suspect that they were drunk and rash and negligent and high speed and poor visibility led to the accident.
Due to the impact the cars were damaged completely and the broken pieces of the car shattered around.
The police have to shut down the flyover for sometime to clear the accident scene .
The police have collected the blood samples of the accused driver and sent it to FSL for analysis to ascertain the reason behind the accident.
