Karnataka Lokayukta Police have conducted massive search operations across the state in connection with 15 disproportionate asset cases registered against 15 Government Officers in Lokayukta Police Stations of Bengaluru City,Bangalore Rural,Ramanagara, Chikkaballapur,Chikkamagaluru,Madikeri,Tumkur, Vijayapura,Bagalakote,Kalaburagi,Raichur,Belagavi, Kolar,Yadagiri.
A simultaneously search of the residences,offices and
residences of the relatives of the concerned Accused Government Officers were conducted in 62 locations across the State.
Details of the Officials searched and preliminary information on the outcome of the searches is as here under.
However the complete details will be available only after verification of all the documents unearthed during the searches.
1.S.Ajith Kumar Rai,Tahsildar(Grade-2),Bengaluru East Taluk,K R Puram,Bengaluru. (FIR Registered in KLA Bengaluru City, PS)In all 11 places of the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs.1.90 crores,including Rs.40 lakhs in cash.
However the searches also disclosed documents related to several properties in the names of other people running into hundreds of acres of land and also several high end cars which are currently being suspected to be Benami properties of the accused. Matter is under investigation.
2.Smt.Chetana W/o Yamanappa,Joint Director,Office of the Joint Director,Agriculture Dept,Bagalkote.(FIR Registered in KLA Bagalakote,PS)In all 2 places connected to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs 1.45 Crores including Rs.32 lakhs in cash.
3.Krishna Ramappa Shirur,Agriculture Officer(Tech-2), ADA Office,Bilagi Tq,Bagalkote Dist.(FIR Registered in KLA Bagalakote,PS)In all 4 places belonging to the accused Government Officer were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs. 71.88 lakhs.
4.Jinnappa Padmanna Shetti,A.E.E,Rural Drinking Water & Sanitisation Dept,Muddebihala.(FIR Registered in KLA Vijayapura,PS)In all 3 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs.1.42 crores
5.Bhimanagouda S/o Mallanagouda Biradar,Junior Engineer,Office of the AEE,PWD Sub-division,Basavana Bagewadi.(FIR Registered in KLA Vijayapura, PS)In all 2 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of
Rs 1.90 crores.
6.P.M.Abdul Bashir,S/o Pouti Mahin,F.D.A,Madikerei Sub division,Rural Drinking Water and Sanitisation Dept,Kodagu Dist.(FIR Registered in KLA Kodagu,PS)In all 3 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs.1.14 crores,including Rs.14 lakhs in cash.
7.Sharanappa S/o Kalyanappa Madivala,Member Secretary,Office of the Asst.Director,Town & Country Planning,Sindhanoor.(FIR Registered in KLA Kalaburagi, PS)In all 4 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs 2.03 crores,including Rs.14 lakhs in cash.
8.K.H.Ravi,S/o K.H.Honnagiriah,Joint Director,Office of
the Joint Director,Agriculture Dept,Tumakuru. (FIR Registered in KLA Ramanagara,PS)In all 6 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value
of Rs 4.27 crores.
9.G.N.Prakash,A.E.E, PWD.(FIR Registered in KLA Raichur, PS)In all 2 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs 2.71 Crores.
10.Shekar Hanumant Bahurupi,E.E (Ele),O&M Divn, GESCOM,Hagaribommanalli,Vijayanagar Dist. (FIR Registered in KLA Belagavi, PS)In all 4 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs 3.00 crores
11.V.Ramesh,Excise Inspector,Gouribidanur Tq.(FIR Registered in KLA Chikkaballapur,PS)In all 5 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs 2.44 crores.
12.Vishwanatha Reddy,S/o Parvatha Reddy,A.E.E,Office of the Health& Family Welfare Dept,Engineering Sub-division,Raichur I/C Yadgiri.(FIR Registered in KLA Yadagiri,PS)In all 2 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs 1.27 crores.
13.K.B.Puttaraju,S/o K.L.Bheemanna,A.E,Rural Development & Panchayath Raj Engineering Sub-division,Sira Tq.(FIR Registered in KLA Tumakuru,PS)In all 4 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs.1.04 crores.
14.Kodandaramaiah V, A.E,Grade-2,KRIDL, I/c AEE KRIDL,Tumakuru Dist.(FIR Registered in KLA Kolar, PS)In all 6 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of the properties found is 2.47 crores.
15.Gangadhar Y,Planning Manager,Nirmithi Kendra,Chikkamagaluru Dist.(FIR Registered in KLA Chikkamagaluru,PS)In all 4 places belonging to the accused were searched leading to disclosure of properties of Approximate value of Rs.3.75 crores.
All cases are currently under Investigation.
