ity Police Commissioner B Dayananda,said that he had written to the state police chief to further probe the Bitcoin cases since it has national and international ramification.
The crime committed using sophisticated technology and having international network of hackers and hence needed a special investigating agency to investigate further.
The hackers have committed the offence and even hacked government websites,which needed a detailed probe,he said .
Meanwhile Home Minister G Parameshwara on Tuesday hinted that the Bitcoin scam would be re-examined by Criminal Investigation Department .
The CCB officials in 2020 arrested Sriki,a city based Hacker and recovered Bitcoins from him which he was stealing after hacking into other websites to purchased drugs through darknet .
Subsequently the CID also probed on the hacking of the state e-procurement cell in which Rs 11.5 crore was stolen and ED for money laundering .
