The Anti-Narcotics wing of the Central Crime Branch on Saturday raided a hotel in Ramamurthynagar and arrested four peddlers who are operating drug peddling racket from hotel in a hotel room.
Based on a tip off, a team of police led by Inspector Mohammed Mukarram,raided a room in hotel Lavish and caught the accused along with four kilos of Marijuana,48 grams of MDMA and ecstasy pills and four mobile phones from them.
Probe revealed that the accused identified as Thoufeeq, 26,Ansal Rahman,25,Ashish Sarkar,25 from Assam and Bauri Das from Odisha were peddling drugs for their employer identified as Vishnu from Kerala.
The accused would sell 10 grams of Marijuana for Rs. 3,000 while they used to sell each pill of MDMA or ecstasy for 8,000 to 10,000 .
The accused said that they are working on commission basis and Vishnu would supply them drugs through his contacts.
The total worth of seized drugs estimated to be Rs.21 lakhs.The accused have been booked under NDPS case and efforts are on to track down Vishnu who is on the run.
