Launch of Griha Jyothi on August 1,Griha Lakshmi Yojana on August 17-18;

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah holds high-level meeting on the implementation of the projects.

Directs officials to make the application and approval process very simple.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that,Griha Jyoti scheme will be launched on August 1 and Griha Lakshmi scheme on August 17-18.

He held a high level meeting with senior government officials today regarding Griha Jyoti and Griha Lakshmi schemes here today.

The Chief Minister instructed the officers that the application process for all guarantee schemes should be made very simple.Unnecessary information and documents should not be asked.

Also if applications are rejected,appropriate reasons should be cited.He warned the officials not to reject for silly reasons.

Since a large number of applications are expected to be submitted in all the guarantee schemes,the Chief Minister directed the officials of the e-governance department to increase the capacity of the Seva Sindhu portal in accordance with the huge amount of data submitted.

Griha Jyoti:

We are planning to lauch Griha Jyoti scheme on 1st August at Kalaburgi.He instructed the officials to remove all the confusions about the guidelines of this scheme and make the citizens aware.

Registration for Griha Jyoti scheme can be done through Seva Sindhu Portal.In addition,help desks will be established in all ESCOMs.The registration process will start from June 15.

Application can be submitted through Bangalore One, Karnataka One,Gram One centers and also can be submitted at home through computer or mobile app. New house owners or new tenants will also be given free electricity facility based on the state average of electricity consumption.

The Chief Minister said that once the average of one year is available, based on this data free electricity will be provided.

Arrears of old electricity bill will be allowed to pay till September 30.Tenants can avail this facility by submitting the agreement letter,Aadhaar card,RR.No., and voter ID of the same address.

Griha Lakshmi:

Discussions was held to launch Griha Lakshmi scheme on August 17 or 18 in Belagavi.The application process will be started from June 15.

One can apply for this scheme online through Seva Sindhu portal. Similarly, applications can also be submitted offline in person at Nadakacheris where separate counters will be setup for this purpose.

Applicants should provide Ration Card Number, Aadhaar Card Number of wife and husband,bank account details with Aadhaar combination.

Copies of these documents can also be submitted with offline applications.

The scheme amount will be deposited directly into the bank account of the eligible beneficiaries through DBT. It is estimated that, this scheme will reach around 85 % of families in the State.

APL cardholders who are not tax payers, have no GST registration will also get this facility.

Energy Minister K.J.George,Minister for Woman and Child Welfare,Lakshmi Hebbalkar,Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma,ACS to Chief Minister Dr.Rajneesh Goyal,Energy Department ACS Gaurav Gupta,Women and Child Welfare Department Secretary Dr.N.Manjula, Revenue Department Secretary Rajender Kumar Katharia,Secretary to CM N.Jayaram,Finance Secretary PC Jaffer, E-Governance Director Meena Nagaraj and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
