Elderly Home alone woman murder case cracked by Mahalakshmi Layout police Plumber and his two associates arrested

The Mahalakshmi layout police cracked the case of a 82-year-old home alone woman and arrested a plumber and his two associates for killing Kamala Rao at her house in west of chord road 2nd stage on May 27.

One of the accused R Ashok,resident of Laggere had visited the house of Kamala Rao for plumbing work and noticed her wearing gold valuables and living alone.

Since he was heavily indebted and not been able to pay, the accused roped in his two associates Siddaraju CM, 34,from Laggere and Anjanamurthy,33,from Kamakshipalya to kill and rob valuables to repay their loans .

As per the plan the trio approached Kamala Rao on the pretext of inquiring about her outhouse for rent.While she was busy serving them tea and snacks,the accused pounced on her tied her hands and legs and gagged her mouth with a clothes and taped her to rob her.Due to the sudden attack,Kamala Rao chocked to death.

The police who took up investigations,found that there was no forced entry and empty cup at home concluded that someone known to the deceased have committed the offence .

The police analyzed CCTV footage from in and around and also gathered information about Ashok who had visited the house and found moving around suspiciously before the offence.

The accused was picked up for questioning and based on his confession the police arrested the other two and recovered the valuables which they had sold to repay their loans.

Deceased had two children who are married and staying separate while she was staying alone at the house after the death of her husband.

The children asked her to come and stay but she preferred staying in the house of her husband,the police said .
