he Central Crime Branch officials on Thursday arrested two people and recovered 6.5 Kgs of ambergris worth several crores from them.
The accused were caught red handed while they were waiting for their clients to deliver the package when a team of officials based on tip off,raided the place in VV Puram and arrested the accused .
Initial probe reveal that the duo were fishermen by profession and collected the banned item with a plan to sell and make quick money.
However the police suspect that they are part of the racket and probing further to ascertain their network.
The accused have been booked under protection of wildlife act in VV Puram police station and further investigations are on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,B Dayananda, appreciated Joint CP Crime,Dr SD Sharanappa and his whole team for the exemplary and commendable job done by them a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
