The candidates have been announced for 189 constituencies have been announced and they are confident of coming back to power with an absolute majority, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
He told reporters here on Wednesday that the selection of candidates has been welcomed in almost all the constituencies and the work of talking with the dissatisfied leaders is on.
He had already spoken to the MLC Lakshman Savadi and asked him not to take a hasty decision.”I have an emotional bond with Savadi and is in constant touch with me.
The party helped him while he was in difficulty and it will continue to help him in the coming days.A good decision will be taken to protect his respect and he has a bright future”.
Irrelevant
Reacting to Savadi’s statement that Bommai wanted to join the Congress Party,the CM termed it as irrelevant and said he has been sitting at home and not approached any party.
It is true that former CM B.S.Yediyurappa,Ananth Kumar,CC Patil,and Savadi came to meet him.But,he would not have gone to the Congress Party as he had no high aspirations.
