Municipal Council (NDMC) in its Council Meeting held today presided over by Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture, Govt. of India – Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi in the presence of Chairperson – NDMC, Shri. Amit Yadav, Vice-Chairperson- Shri Satish Upadhyay, MLA & Member NDMC, Shri Virender Singh Kadian, other Council Members – Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Smt. Vishakha Shailani, Shri Girish Sachdeva, and Secretary – NDMC, Dr. Ankita Chakravarty considered and approved the various citizen, infrastructure and employee centric proposals.
The important citizen, infrastructures and employee centric proposals included :
1. Strengthening/Augmentation of HT/LT network in Lodhl Colony area of NDMC
CPWD Flats in Lodhi Colony area and power in these flats is supplied by NDMC. To cater this much load it felt that new LT cable is proposed for better utilization of power. Proposed cable of 400 sqmm/3.5C, are proposed to be replaced by big size GS pillars. And lay a new HT feeder from 33/11KV electric Sub-Station Aliganj, Jor Bagh to 11KV ESS 5 Block Lodhi Colony. By this arrangement ESS 5 Block Lodhi Colony would get additional power supply directly from 33KV electric Sub-Station Aliganj.
2. Review of grant of financial assistance to its employee under Hitkari Nidhi Yojana.
Welfare Department was established with a view to provide community services in the NDMC and for Welfare of employees working in NDMC by providing various Welfare Schemes, One of the major employees welfare scheme was introduced as Hitkari Nidhi Yojna. The Council approved the proposal of Rs. 50,000/- to all the contractual employees.
3. Re-surfacing of 12 Roads in NDMC area
It was decided to consult with “Central Road Research Institute” to get the best required treatment on 12 Roads i.e. Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Road, Jantar Mantar Road, R.K. Ashram Marg(New), Raisina Road, Red Cross Road, Sansad Marg, Udyan Marg, Mahadev Road, Bangla Sahib Road, Bhai Veer Singh Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent Marg and Old R.K. Ashram Marg. Council resolved for the work of “Re-surfacing of 12 roads in R-V Division of NDMC.
NDMC approved citizen, infrastructure and employee centric proposals in its Council Meeting.
