In a first of its kind the Indian Air Force facilitates,2500+ students belonging to economically weaker section of the society hailing from Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and Backward class communities from various remote parts of the Karnataka state,with an incredible opportunity to witness the Air Show.
This left an indelible mark in the students minds, inspiring and motivating the students to pursue their dreams and ambitions in Aerospace industry.
It was a once in lifetime opportunity of witnessing the Indian Aero show for these students.
Yesterday 150 students hailing from Valmiki Ashrama school,Ambedkar Vasati Shaale or residential school and Valmiki Vasathi Shaale/residential school from Bengaluru Rural areas witnessed this extravaganza.
This joint initiative of Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka with Indian Air Force is a defining moment for more than 2500 children from 300+ Government Residential schools to open their minds and use this platform as a runway to soar to newer heights.
Witnessing a glorious event like this itself is a motivation to think beyond what they ever thought of. The children are already happy and motivated seeing the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in India, the President of India,hailing from a Tribal family.
This initiative of exposing the students to such opportunity has further strengthened and motivated their aspirations to achieve greater heights as future Agniveers and serve the country and contribute to Nation Building.
The IAF’s commitment to education and youth development helped to foster a sense of national pride and patriotism in the hearts of the students.
Today,last batch of 150 more students of 10th standard from these schools will be witnessing the Air Show from 12 to 1.30pm at ADVA area,IAF,Yelahanka.
