Man killed his surrogate father for refusing to pay for alcohol,accused arrested by Banaswadi police

he Banaswadi police on Tuesday arrested a 32-year-old labourer who bludgeoned his surrogate father to death for refusing to pay his alcohol.

The victim,Joseph,54,worked as spray painter at a car garage and also took care of accused Antony,orphan and his distant relative.

Senior officer visited the spot and after inspecting the spot and collecting information it was revealed that, Antony is alcoholic and irregular to work.He used to harass Joseph for money for his drinks.

On Monday evening Antony confronted Joseph and demanded for money. Heated argument ensued following which he bludgeoned Joseph with a wooden log and escaped .

The profusely bleeding Joseph was rushed to Bowring hospital where he succumbed. Based on the complaint, the police track down Antony at RT Nagar where he was trying to flee he added.
