Advance ‘Mock drill’ started at  hospitalsfor fight with Corona

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:Advance preparations have started to fight with the excesses of China’s corona in India. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandabiya had earlier said that hospitals-nursing homes in all states should be prepared in advance. The center will investigate all measures to prevent corona. Today, Tuesday, that arrangement is being made. Monitoring will be carried out to check on the ground what measures are being taken in the state to prevent Corona, how are the health services, what measures have been taken by the government and private hospitals.On the initiative of the Centre, vigilance will continue across the country on Tuesday, which is called ‘mock drill’. The Union Health Minister himself went to Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital at around 10:15 am to check the situation. He also has a meeting with the doctors of the Indian Medical Association. How is the health service in the district, how is the treatment for corona patients, how is the covid test going.Moreover, it will be seen, how is the condition of isolation ward in hospitals, how many isolation beds are there, how many oxygen beds and ICU beds are there. What is the number of ventilator beds, how many ventilators and liquid oxygen are there for critical covid patients?Hospitals and nursing homes should have medical oxygen and treatment infrastructure for corona patients. Sufficient supplies should be kept ensuring that medical oxygen is available within 48 hours.The supply of quid medical oxygen should be increased. Care should be taken to keep the oxygen tankers full.Oxygen concentrator should be provided. Check that the concentrators are working properly.Hospitals should have life support system like ventilator, bipap, SPO2 etc. Oxygen control room should be constructed so that supply is available when demand increases.
