UP’s Sania Mirza going to be India’s first Muslim fighter pilot in Indian Air Force

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:Sania Mirza, daughter of a TV mechanic from Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur, has cracked the National Defence Academy  examination. Sania Mirza will be  the first Muslim female fighter pilot (IAF Fighter Pilot – Sania Mirza). This Sania Mirza is not the famous tennis star, but she is the daughter of a TV mechanic from Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. Sania is being selected to become a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force. Sania will be the country’s first Muslim girl and Uttar Pradesh’s first IAF pilot. Sania is a resident of Jashova village of DehatKotwali police station, Mirzapur. Several reports have been doing rounds claiming that Sania Mirza, a girl from Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur, is set to become India’s first Muslim female fighter pilot. Now, IAF has issued a clarification stating that it takes four years for a candidate to be commissioned as a pilot in the IAF.Sania’s father Shahid Ali said about her daughter’s achievement, Sania considers country’s first fighter pilot Avni Chaturvedi as her role model. From the beginning she wanted to make her career like him. Sania is allowed to grow up independently. Sania is the second woman in the country to be selected as a fighter pilot.Sania’s mother Tabassum Mirza said, “Our daughter has made us and the entire village proud.He fulfilled his dream of becoming the first fighter pilot. She inspired every girl in the village to follow their dreams.”Sania Mirza studied from primary to class 10 at Pandit Chintamani Dubey Inter College in her village. She then went to Guru Nanak Girls Inter College in the city. Sania topped in her district in class 12th UP board examination. Her  training began at the Centurion Defense Academy.After such success, Sania said, “there were only two seats reserved for women fighter pilots in the National Defense Academy 2022 exam. I had failed to grab a seat in my first attempt, but I got a seat in my second attempt.”
