Foundation stone for Koppal Airport soon; CM Bommai

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said Rs.40 crore has been given through Kalyana Karnataka Area Development Board for the construction of Koppal Airport and land acquisition process will be completed as soon as possible and then lay the foundation stone for the airport project.

Speaking at a function organised in connection with the inauguration of BJP Office here on Thursday,he said the district has a bright future and opportunities are in plenty to manufacture iron.

The government is committed to overall development of the district.A super-speciality hospital is required for Koppal and the amount required for this will be provided in the next budget.

Koppal Lift Irrigation Project to start in March

The CM said the Koppal LIft Irrigation Scheme was started by BJP and the incumbent government will complete this project to provide water.It was planned to bring water from Almatti Dam.

Water was not reaching the tail-end areas of the district.It was the BJP Government that decided to bring 1.8 tmc ft of water to Narayanapura and first supply it to Koppal district.

This shows the commitment of the incumbent government.This project will be launched by March next year by supplying water.

With this the long pending dream of the people of this region will be fulfilled and that is made possible only by the BJP Government.

Committed to complete irrigation projects
He said the Singatalur Lift Irrigation was pending for many years and it was the BJP Government headed by Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa to increase its capacity and irrigate an additional 45,000 acres in the district.

The foundation stone for the drip irrigation scheme was laid in March and provided irrigation facilities to all taluks in this region.

For Tungabhadra Balancing reservoir, the Yediuyurappa government sanctioned Rs 20 crore to prepare DPR for this project.

The project has been discussed with the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and a team of officials from that state had already visited Bengaluru. Another round of meeting will be held with the Water Resources Minister to take final permission and then lay the foundation stone.

Development of Anjanadri shrine

Bommai said Rs 100 crore has been earmarked for the development of Anjanadri Hill and another Rs. 40 crore has been given from KKADB.A master plan is ready and the work will start soon.

The connecting roads are being improved and began the construction of Yatri Nivas.The incumbent government will take up all programs for the overall development of this shrine.

Thousands of devotees from North India visit this shrine and they were very much thrilled after seeing the recent utsav.All the works will be completed within the stipulated time.

BJP National President J.P.Nadda,BJP National General Secretary and In-Charge of Karnataka,Arun SIngh,State BJP President,Nalin Kumar Kateel, former CM,B.S.Yediyurappa,Ministers,Govind Karjol, Anand Singh,Halappa Achaar and others were present.
