Border dispute, is a closed chapter,”declares CM Bommai

According to Karnataka,the bordier dispute with neighboring Maharashtra is a closed chapter,said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

When his attention was drawn to the visit of Maharashtra ministers to Belgavi, the CM told reporters at the airport here on Monday that they have already been asked in writing not to visit (Belagavi) in view of the current situation as it may create law and order problems. In spite of this, they have reiterated their visit to Belagavi which is not correct on their part.

Talks with Maha CM again

Bommai said there has been cordial relationship between the people of Maharashtra and Karnataka and at the same time there is border row also.

But Maharashtra has moved the Supreme Court. During these circumstances,visiting Belagavi is nothing but instigating people.I will talk to my Maharashtra counterpart once again”.

No hesitation to take a suitable action

The CM said in case the Maharashtra ministers do the adventure of coming to Belagavi, instructions are given to the officials concerned to take the suitable action as per law.

The state government will not hesitate to take action.The kind of actions which had been taken in the past would be done this time also.

Quality education is our aim

Asked about the demand to open the Saffron schools along with the seperate colleges for the Muslim girls, he said the first and the foremost aim is to provide a quality education to the kids.
