ATM Robbery case detected by Wilson garden police, Security guard arrested recovered 14.2 lakhs stolen amount

“He was planning to set up a hotel and construct a house at his home town to marry and settle”.

The Wilson Garden police on Monday arrested a 23-year-old security guard who had stolen Rs.19.9 lakh from the ATM belonging to Union bank of India situated on 13th cross recently.

The accused had escaped with the cash and was hiding in a remote village in Assam after changing his SIM card,but the police tracked him down with his trail managed to pin him down.

During investigation it was found to settle in life early,he planned to setup a hotel and a house to get married.

To arrange the money for his plans,Dipankar started moving with the cash management team and note down the PIN number to open the ATM.

After the cash was deposited,the accused used the PIN to open and escaped with the cash to his home town and even changed the SIM card to avoid being tracked.

Based on a complaint,a team of police went to his home town and tracked him and recovered Rs.14.2 lakh,while the rest of the money the accused told the police that he had repaid the loan he had borrowed and further investigation is on.
