Aanandotsav 2022 unleashes creative talents of doctors,scholars, students and staff at AIIA

New Delhi, 19th December 2022: All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA),
marked the finale of its week-long annual cultural and sports festival –
Aanandotsav-2022 on Saturday, 19th Nov, with a slew of performances
including a ramp walk by students, scholars and staff of the institute. Padma
Shree award-winning duo Nalini Asthana and Kamalini Asthana graced the
occasion as chief guests.


Nalini Asthana and Kamalini Asthana are renowned dancers of Benares
Gharana of Kathak and have played an instrumental role in promoting the
dance form across the world. According to the sister-duo, any creative art form
helps in rejuvenating the mind, body, and soul.
“These festivals boost the creative spirits of the participants and fill the heart of performers with positivity—a merit that helps us become better human beings and create better societies,” said Padma Shree Kamalini Awasthi.
“A lot of knowledge coming from external sources enters our brains in
academic institutions. On the contrary, the spirit of art is born inside and
showcased outside in a state of happiness,” added Padma Shree Nalini Awasthi, who accompanied her sister during the finale.
Aanandotsav-2022, the annual cultural and sports week of the institution, started on November 14 and witnessed some interesting events such as Kabaad se Jugaad, Dumb Charades based on ayurvedic terminologies, an Antakshari of Ayurvedic shlokas and various dance and musical performances.
