North Korea continues its aggression in missile tests. On Thursday, it simultaneously launched six missiles, including an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).
Warnings in northern Japan area
One of the North Korean missiles reached an altitude of 2,000 km and had a range of about 750 km. Japan’s Defense Minister Yasukazu Hamada said that it has come a long way. It is said that the missile disappeared from the range of Japanese radars scanning the skies over the waters between the Korean Peninsula and Japan. The Prime Minister’s Office of Japan (VOJPM) has issued warnings through TVs, radios, mobile phones, and public loudspeakers to the people of Miyagi, Yamagata, and Niigata in the northern region that people should take shelter in safe buildings or underground areas with the information of North Korea’s intercontinental missile launch. Bullet train services have been temporarily stopped in some areas. However, there is no report of any damage or injury to anyone in these areas. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has condemned these experiments and the officials revealed that they are analyzing the details of the weapons. Japan revealed that North Korea also conducted missile tests on Thursday night as part of threats against the US and South Korea’s decision to extend the large-scale joint air exercises. It is known that North Korea simultaneously launched more than 20 missiles into the borders of South Korea on Wednesday. With this aggression, there was a tense situation between the two Koreas.
Warhead being destroyed
North Korea’s missile technology is not yet fully developed. After the warhead is separated from the missile, it is destroyed due to the temperature when it comes back into the earth’s atmosphere. It is reported that experiments have to be done frequently to develop the related technology. It is estimated that the missile was launched in a lofted trajectory without the need to use Japan’s airspace on Thursday as well. Ultimately, Pyongyang’s goal appears to be to intimidate the US by developing a nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile.
