Dr.Thomas (Special Correspondent)

T he State government has done justice to SC/ST communities by hiking reservation and the decision in regard to reservation is ‘revolutionary, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking at a convention of Other Backward Classes here on Sunday, he said the BJP government has developed Kaginele, Sangolli Rayanna and given a military school.

The Congress Party had cheated the backward classes and the kuruba community by sidelining them.

But the incumbent government in the State had taken a decision based on social justice to bring SC/ST to the mainstream of society.

We have implemented the Amrit scheme for the Kuruba community among Backward Classes and also a grant of Rs 354 crore.

Siddaramannna, why did the Congress Party not do it? What moral right do you have to talk about OBCs? We are giving real social justice, equality and opportunities for everyone.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inspired us for the development of Backward Classes. The PM is striving for ‘Sab Ka Saath,Sab Ka Vikas’ of all including backward classes. We are treading in the same path”.

Bommai said after he became the CM, he had given an opportunity for the Koli community and decided to do justice for them.

He has not come to the convention with the bare hand but with a government order.I am not a person who gives social justice in talks. We will do politics for the people and do justice to OBCs.

The BJP is committed to the all-round development of Karnataka. Our aim is for the development of Kalyana Karnataka for which the grant has been doubled from Rs.1500 crore to Rs.3,000 crore.Next year,it will be hiked to Rs. 5000 crore.

The BJP wants to make Karnataka free from hunger and poverty for which they need the support of people”.
