Three Member Robbery gang arrested by Devanahalli police recovered stolen valuables

The Devanahalli police arrested a gang of three who robbed a 27-year-old engineer while he was returning with his female friend after having dinner at a hotel on Devanahalli road on Last Friday night .

The accused Anil Kumar, 22,Subramani,19 and Pawan Kumar, 24 confronted the victim in a car, Kiran Srinivas while he had stopped the motorcycle on a deserted road to relieve himself .

The accused assaulted Kiran with iron rod before snatching his gold chain,threatened to kill his female friend demanding more money.

When Kiran requested he did not have cash,one of the accused took him to a near-by ATM while the others took his female friend as hostage at the spot.They threatened to kill her if he did not pay the money or tried to act smart.

Kiran along with the accused went to ATM and withdrew Rs.15,000 before going to a restaurant to pack food and liquor .

After returning to the spo the accused warned the duo and left the spot .

Based on the complaint, the police analyzed the CCTV footage from in and around the spot and track down the accused.

The trio have been booked under robbery and investigations are on to ascertain their criminal background and further investigation is on.
