The Wilson Garden police on Friday booked Reliance Jio company for damaging newly asphalted road leading to lalbagh causing Rs.30 lakh loss to BBMP .
Anathraju,K Assistant Executive Engineer,Road Infrastructure development,South division,BBMP, who went to inspect the newly asphalted road between Subbaiah circle to Lalbagh North gate road,the police charged the company under prevention of damage to public property and also under section 336 (rash or negligently as to endanger human life or the personal safety of others) and also section 427 (causes loss or damage ) for further investigations.
The damaged came to light when Mr.Ananthraju went to inspect the newly asphalted road on Wednesday .
The company cut open the road unscientifically to lay OFC cable not only disrupted the traffic flow but also endangering the lives of the motorists besides incurring loss to the BBMP to the tune of Rs.30 lakh.
