Two Chain Snatchers arrested by Hebbal police recovered 60 grams gold chains

he Hebbal police on Sunday arrested two persons who robbed a gold chain from a home maker walking in one of the bylane on Thursday.

The accused has been identified as,Asif and Ateeq residents of DJ Halli.

Senior officer told reporters,a chain snatching case was reported in Hebbal police station limits in which a complainant stated while passing through a bylane two miscreants followed her and snatched her chain from neck and sped away.

Based on complaint PI,Dilip Kumar KH and his crime staff swung into action and visited the crime spot to inspect the area and after inspecting the area the team analysed the CCTV footage in the surrounding.

During investigation the team analysed the CCTV footage and the entire incident was caught on the CCTV camera which helped the police to track down the accused.

Based on technical inputs and other police investigation skills the team zeroed in on both and during investigation the accused confessed the crime.

A detailed investigation revealed that the duo moving around the residential area to identify women walking alone and rob them.

The accused Asif and Ateeq residents of DJ halli confessed that they were involved in three such incidents including Banaswadi,DJ halli and KG Halli police station limits .

The Hebbal police have booked them under robbery and are investigating.

Finally Bengaluru police commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy,has appreciated Addl CP West, Sandeep Patil,DCP North,Vinayak Patil,PI,Dilip Kumar KH and his crime staff for the commendable job done by them in nabbing the duo chain snatches and a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
