Two labourers from Kerala sentenced 10 years Rigorous imprisonment & 1 lakh rupees fine by City Civil court

The 33rd Additional City civil and session court convicted two labourers from Kerala in a drugs case and sentenced them to undergo 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.1 lakh on Wednesday.

The duo Johnson Joseph,31,and Biju Abraham 38 were arrested by Sudduguntepalya police in July 2017 on Taverekere main road and seized 6.3 kgs of Hashish oil which they were trying to sell .

The duo were from Kannur and working at rubber farms in Kerala and used to prepare hashish oil.

The oil was used by the addicts to apply on cigarettes and consumed to get intoxicated.

Senior officials said,based on meticulous investigation and evidence collaborated by the investigation officer and submitted the chargesheet to the court based on which the court has ordered a rigorous imprisonment to two drug peddlers in the case.
