Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai released State’s instalment of Rs.2000 each for the beneficiary farmers of the State under the PM-KISAN-Karnataka scheme on Thursday.
The Chief Minister released a total amount of Rs. 956.71 cr to the accounts of 47.86 lakh farmers through the Direct Benefit Transfer system.
So far the State government has paid out Rs.3861.66 cr for the farmers under the PM-KISAN-Karnataka scheme as its contribution.
The union government has released Rs.8702.29 cr since 2019 upto March this year benefiting 53.83 lakh farmers under the scheme.
On May 31 the Prime Minister released Rs.1279.86 cr to the accounts of 49.30 lakh farmers in the State.
Agriculture minister BC Patil,Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma and other officials were also present.
