Nigerian Drug peddler arrested by Anti-Narcotics Wing CCB recovered Synthetic Drugs Worth Rs.8 Lakhs

The Anti-Narcotics wing of the CCB on Tuesday arrested a Nigerian National drug peddler and recovered MDMA and cocaine worth Rs.8 lakh from him.

The accused has been identified as Okoyo hailing from Nigeria.

Senior officer told reporters,The Anti-Narcotics Wing sleuths caught Nigerian National red handed while he was waiting for his clients to deliver the drugs on Banaswadi main road.

The police recovered 60 grams of MDMA crystals and 6 grams of cocaine from him.

During investigation the accused confessed the crime and a detailed investigations revealed that the accused had come to the city three years ago on business visa and since then peddled drugs.

He would source the drugs from his contact in Mumbai and sell it to his clients between Rs.8,000 to Rs.10,000 per gram.

The accused has been booked under NDPS Act and taken into custody to investigate about his network.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,C H Pratap Reddy has appreciated Joint CP Crime, Raman Gupta,DCP Crime-1,Dr SD Sharanappa, and his whole team for the commendable job done by them in nabbing the notorious Nigerian National drug peddler who came on business visa and indulged in peddling narcotics substance a suitable reward will be given to them he added.
