A 32-year-old KSRTC driver was killed and another injured when a speeding scooter knocked him down while he was crossing the road outside KSRTC depot -5 on Wednesday night.
The deceased Pradeep resident of Kyatasandra was crossing the road to go to work when the scooter rider coming from Nayandahalli junction heading towards Kimko junction knocked him down.
Due to the impact the duo fell on the road and sustained injuries.
Passers-by rushed both the injured to a near-by hospital where Pradeep Succumbed few minutes later .
The injured scooter rider was being treated at the hospital and recovering.
The Byatarayanapura traffic police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving and death due to negligence against the driver and are investigating.
