A group of financial dispute plaintiffs and defendants from Karnataka has come together to bring to light a criminal racket, that has been diverting court cases unlawfully.

The group claims that the Andhra-based racket with an established network across Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka has been influencing dispute settlements outside court for a huge sum.

The criminals target cases that are under court consideration and coax the complainant or accused with false promises of swift closure.

In case any of the parties deny and go ahead for the court rule, they are threatened and some cases are even diverted, making it severe for the parties to come out of it.

A source aware of the matter stated that the racket is controlled and operated by senior medical doctors belonging to top private hospitals in Bengaluru.

The targets are contacted by the doctors on the pretext of case resolution. They even bring in names of senior police or investigation officers to establish trust.

Those who fall for the scam are trapped and have been looted of lakh and crores depending on the severity of the case.

Those who go disagree are threatened, demeaned and are physically attacked in some cases. Several people have fallen into the trap fearing tarnished reputation.

The police officers are said to be misguided by the racket, much like the parties involved in the cases. While the jurisdiction has a provision for out of the court settlement, the racket defies and disrespects court orders.

No defamation has been filed so far, fearing severe consequences by the racket.

The victims are demanding the resignation of these doctors, and the cancellation of their license by the Indian Medical Association (IMA).

They hope the racket will be busted soon to safeguard, their reputation and the integrity of the judiciary.

If the protectors of law and judiciary are misguided, who else will grant justice to the citizens,” they ask.
