A 64-year-old Kannada Film Producer was killed in a hit and run case occurred on Gourav Nagar in Kumaraswamy Layout police station limits on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Anekal Balraj.
Senior officer with other staff visited the spot and after collecting information it was known that the vicitm was returning home from his morning walk and parked his car on road side to cross the road to get into ATM when the incident occurred.
A speeding bike rider knock down Balraj and sped away .
Due to the impact Balraj sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to a near-by private hospital where he succumbed two hours later .
The KS Layout traffic police rushed to the spot and are trying to track down the bike rider.
Balraj is working at the film industry for the last 25 years and produced many famous movies.
A case under hit and run and death due to negligence has been registered in Kumaraswamy layout traffic police station and massive hunt is on to nab the rider he added.
