Jilted lover attack girl with Acid at her office entrance in Sunkadakatte for refusing his proposal

24-year-old executive of a gold finance company sustained third degree burn injuries when a jilted lover threw acid on her for refusing his proposal while she was entering office situated in Sunkadakatte in Kamakshipalya police station limits on thursday morning.

Senior officer as, DCP, West Dr Sanjeev M Patil with ACP P Ravi Kumar PI Prashanth and crime staff with FSL team rushed to the spot and after inspecting the spot and collecting information from the parents about the incident.

Senior officer told reporters,The victim,was climbing the stairs to go to office minutes after being dropped by her father,when the accused followed her and splashed the toilet cleaner acid on to her before fleeing the spot.

The victim screamed for help,prompting the passers-by to rush to her help and took her to a near-by private hospital.

The doctor after providing first aid shifted her to St.Johns hospital for further treatment.

The victim sustained severe burns on her scalp, chest region,back,hands and legs.

A special team has been formed who are on the massive manhunt for the accused identified as Nagesh.

The victim,a M Com graduate and resident of Hegganahalli,where the accused was staying in a rented house near-by.The accused would stalk her and proposed many time.

Unable to bear harassment the victim had informed her family who in turn complained to the owner of the house and forced Nagesh to vacate the house to stop her from harassing.

On Wednesday Nagesh came to her office after she rejected his proposal,the accused created ruckus and threatened her with dire consequences.

She complained this to her father Raju,who decided to drop and pick up his daughter everyday.

On Thursday, Raju, dropped the victim outside the office at around 8.30 am and she was climbing the stairs when the accused followed her and attacked with toilet cleaner acid.

A case has been registered in Kamakshipalya police station and massive hunt is on to nab the accused and will be nabbed soon and a strict action will be taken as no one should repeat this type of heinous crime in future he added.
