Four held,Afghan students robbery case detected by Jnanabharathi police, recovered stolen property

The Jnanabharati police on Monday arrested a gang of four who assaulted two students from Afghanistan to rob their valuables in Jnanajyothi Layout on March 11.

The accused have been identified as Vaibhav, Rakesh,Darshan and Chandrashekhar all residents of Agrahara Dasarahalli .

The police also seized two bikes,a dagger,two mobile phones,Rs.1,000 and two USD dollars which they had robbed from the victims.

Senior officer said,the victims pursuing MBA in a private college was living in a rented house in Jnanajyothi Layout .

They had gone to their friend’s house and walking home late when the accused confronted them and demanded valuables at knife point.

When the victim tried to resist,the accused attacked them with lethal weapon.One students sustained a slash injury on his hand the other sustained cut injury on his neck in the attack.

Based on the complaint,the Jnanabharathi police inspector,Laxman Nayak and his team analyzed the CCTV footage and arrested the accused.

The accused have been taken into custody further to ascertain if they are involved in similar offences earlier,and further investigation is on.

Laxman Nayak and his whole team who has acted swiftly and nabbed all the four offenders and recovered stolen property from them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
