Student found dead under mysterious circumstances

A 17-year-old PU student ended life by jumping from the 23rd floor of a residential apartment in Konanakunte where he had come to visit his cousin in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Anjan R, native of Kollegal and staying in a relative‘s house in Tyagarajnagar and pursuing II PU commerce in Mahaveer Jain college.

Senior officer with Konanakunte police visited the spot and after inspecting the spot and collecting information said,Anjan came to visit his cousin living in prestige Apartment and the duo had dinner and went to sleep.

At around 3 am,Anjan woke up and went to 23rd floor of the building and sent a video message to his family and friends before jumping the police said that though the message did not have any specific reason for his extreme step,he just apologized and said that he is not ending life due to obess or love failure .

He also said that no one is responsible for his death.

Security guard who heard the thud sound rushed to the spot and found him in a pool of blood and alerted the police.

The police rushed to the spot and after inquiry they alerted Anjan’s cousin who was sleeping in the apartment .

The Konanakunte police have taken up a case of un natural death and awaiting post-mortem report to ascertain the cause of death.

Initial probe reveal that Anjan was a meritorious student in the first year but his performance was deteriorated in second year and he was not attending classes or taking tests.

We are questioning his friends and classmates trying to ascertain the cause of death a senior officer said.
