Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has instructed the Committee headed by retired IAS officer M R Srinivasmurthy to submit an interim report at the earliest for the revival of State Road Transport Corporations.
Bommai,who held a meeting with the committee which has been constituted to suggest measures for financial self sustenance and resource mobilisation for State Road Transport Corporations asked the committee head Srinivasmurthy for speedy completion of its task.
The Chief Minister shared his views and expectations on rejuvenation of State Road Transport Corporations at the meeting, wanted the committee to identify the potential of these Corporations and come out with recommendations for their best utilization.
Revenue generation from the assets of the Transport Corporations,best use of the workshops,efficient use of the human resources, improvement in services of the Corporations and use of technology were some of the issues which were discussed at the meeting.
Srinivasa murthy briefed the Chief Minister about the measures he has taken since assuming the office as the head of the committee.
