The Anti-Narcotics wing of the CCB on Wednesday busted an Inter-State drug racket and arrested a Nigerian national who was peddling synthetic drugs in the city and seized synthetic Drugs worth Rs.20 lakhs.
Senior officer told reporters,our Anti-Narcotics Wing,ACP, KC Goutham received a tip-off that a Nigerian National is indulged in selling drugs and is peddling synthetic drugs from his house to college students and professionals.
Based on a tip off,a team of officials raided a house in Ramamurthynagar and conducted a search operation and during search the team found Synthetic Drugs in the house and arrested the accused.
After a detailed search the officials seized MDMA crystals and ecstasy pills worth Rs 20 lakh from him.
Inquiry revealed that the accused was sourcing the drugs from his contact in Goa,who in turn got the consignment from Poland through courier .
The police are now on the lookout for his contact who could prove to be a link for a bigger inter state drug racket,and the accused has been booked under NDPS Act and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, Kamal Pant has appreciated Joint CP Crime, Sandeep Patil,DCP Crime-2,BS Angadi,ACP KC Gautham,PI,R Virupakshaswamy,and staff as, Sridhar, Srinivas Kumar and Arun has been appreciated for busting the inter-state drug racket and arresting the Nigerian National and for the commendable job done by the team a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
