An Alert LPG cylinder supplier chased and caught a chain snatcher who had robbed a gold chain from a homemaker after assaulting her in Chikkabanavara on Friday evening.
The accused has been identified as,Keshav,24 year old.
Senior officer told media persons,A victim, Pushpa,32,was walking home from temple carrying her one year old baby,when the accused confronted her and snatched a gold chain worth Rs 40,000.
The accused Keshav,24 year old pushed Pushpa on the ground along with the baby when she tried to resist and escaped with the chain.
Meanwhile at the same time a LPG cylinder vehicle driver Rudresh who was passing by noticed a victim in pain and then he chased the accused for two kilometers before pinning him down.
The accused even tried to attack the brave driver Rudresh but Rudresh managed to resist and catch him before handing him over to the police who followed the trail.
The probe revealed that the accused studied till PU and worked as home nursing staff for a health care company.
He quit the job one month ago and is having financial difficulties and decided to earn quick money.
The accused has been booked under robbery and remanded to judicial custody while Rudresh will be suitably rewarded for the brave and timely action in nabbing the chain Snatcher and getting the chain back to the victim.
