Two Drug Peddlers including B.Tech student arrested for peddling drugs,Narcotics substances Worth Rs.27 lakhs seized

The Adugodi police on Saturday arrested a 19-year-old B.Tech student from Vijayawada,in Andhra Pradesh,and his Bengaluru-based associate for allegedly peddling marijuana and hashish oil in the city.

The accused has been identified as, student,identified as,Dinesh Kumar,started dealing in drugs to pay for his own addiction and his associate identified as,Arun Dayal,22.

Senior officer told reporters,the Adugodi police inspector and his staff received a credible information that a person in their jurisdiction is selling narcotics drugs and Hashish Oil based on which the inspector Prashanth and his team swung into action and conducted a search in the area and nabbed Arun Dayal a wall painter from LR Nagar.

After apprehending the team questioned him and based on his statement the crime team nabbed his partner from Andhra Pradesh who is a B.Tech student and they grilled both of them and based on their statement they recovered 5.1 kg of marijuana and 540 grams of hashish oil worth around Rs.27 lakh from them.

A detailed Investigation by the team it is revealed that the B.Tech student teamed up with a wall painter from L.R.Nagar, Arun Dayal (22), a year ago.

Further Investigation revealed that Dinesh sourced the drugs from his contacts in AP and Odisha.

He would smuggle it into the city in his backpack and hand it over to Arun,who in turn would sell it to people in Bengaluru.The duo then would share the profit.

Both youths have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.They have been taken into custody and we are probing to ascertain the extent of their network,said a senior police officer part of the investigation.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP East,S Murugan, DCP,Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi, ACP,Sudheer M Hegde,PI,Prashanth S,PSI, Basavaraj J,and their crime staff has been appreciated for the commendable job done by them in nabbing two drug peddlers and seizing narcotics substance worth Rs.27 lakhs from them and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
