“Status of filling of potholes in BBMP limits”

In the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits arterial,sub-arterial and wards roads potholes are being filled across the city, it has become a continuous process in the city.

From the Hot Mix place in the BBMP limits 2021 June to 27th September around 490 load (14,379.07 metric ton) tar has been used and a total of 157,913.35 sq mt road potholes have been closed.

Not just that,in the Palike’s arterial,sub-arterial and Ward roads together 101 load (2,476.64 metric ton) wet mix (gravel with cement) has been utilised 10,010.36 sq mt road potholes have been closed.

In the all eight zones of BBMP,Chief engineer, executive Engineer and all engineers are already engaged in the work of filling the potholes and fixing the roads.

Not just that, different asphalting works which are taken on contract basis for asphalting and those zones work’s are also being asked to fill the potholes accordingly.

Along with this,Palike’s Hot Mix plant and Private contractors are taking steps to complete the road work and filling of potholes as soon as possible.

Also,in the city,BESCOM,KPTCL,BWSSB and OFC organisations are digging the road for their work, and it has been instructed to them to take up the work only if necessary and deemed fit considering the rainy season and are asked to inform the BBMP and do the work.

When there is no dire need to dig the road, those roads are not to be dug as per the request from the BBMP said BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta.
