Moral policing two held within 12 hours by Sadduguntepalya police

The Southeast Division police of Sadduguntepalya police arrested two persons who assaulted a motorcycle rider and threatened a burkha clad pillion rider in an incident of moral policing near dairy circle on Friday .

Two accused arrested within 12 hours of incident.

Senior officer told media persons,As the incident was recorded and went viral on social media prompting the jurisdictional Sadduguntepalya to swung into action and arrested the duo within 12 hours of the incident.

The woman,a private firm employee,was intercepted by the accused while riding reportedly with the colleague.

The duo assaulted the rider and shamed and threatened the woman before taking her parents number and forced her to get down and take an autorickshaw to return home.

Acting swiftly, @BlrCityPolice has identified and secured two accused persons for assault on a bike rider traveling along with a woman of a different faith.A case is registered and firm legal action is initiated. Commissioner of police, Kamal Pant said in his tweet.

The city police commissioner appreciated the swift action of the Sadduguntepalya police inspector and his team who has traced the accused within 12 hours and announced cash reward for the team for their good piece of investigation in arresting the accused.

Chief Minister of Karnataka,Basavaraj Bommai warns Miscreants said in his tweet,In connection with the case of assault on a bike rider travelling along with a woman of different faith,@BlrCityPolice has acted swiftly,identified & secured 2 accused persons. A case is registered & legal action is initiated. My Govt. deals with such incidents with an iron hand he said in his tweet.
