First time in the history of Karnataka state police’s Surya City Police freezes Drug peddlers assets Worth Rs.1.6 Crore

For the first time,in the history of Karnataka state police the Bengaluru rural police of surya city police confiscated movable and immovable properties worth Rs.1.6 Crore owned by inter state drug peddler.

The inter-state drug peddler has been identified as,Anjay Kumar Singh a resident of Bihar.

The seized properties includes three sites,a residential apartment in the outskirts of the city , A SUV and bank account containing cash Rs.9.7 lakh.

Senior officer told reporters, the accused Anjay kumar Singh from Bihar is a major player among the peddlers used to supply it to local peddlers and consumers since last five years.

The accused was also arrested in Bihar and Delhi in a similar case but shift his area of operation to Bengaluru for his children’s education,

The accused used to source marijuana from his contact Shekhar from Odisha,and get into the city through Jadhav Matti from Vishakapatnam.Using his associates David Rahul and Muralidhar Anjay Kumar would peddle marijuana in city .

The Surya city police in 2019 busted a drug haul and seized 822 kgs from his associates.

Continuing investigation under Chapter Va of NDPS act 1985 deals with freezing and seizing illegally acquired properties by the accused the act says.

Finally Home Minister of Karnataka,Araga Jnanendra has appreciated Karnataka DG-IGP, Praveen Sood,IG Central Range,Chandrashekhar R,SP Bengaluru Rural,Vamshi Krishna,Addl SP, Lakshmi Ganesh,DYSP,Mallesh,PI, Shekar BK and his whole team who has done a exemplary and good piece of investigation in seizing the illegal property acquired by Inter-State Drug peddler and a suitable reward will be given to the whole team he added.
